Dr. Areendam Barua is a dedicated Surgical Oncologist with specialized training in the diagnosis, evaluation, staging, and surgical management of cancer. With an MS followed by MCh in Surgical Oncology, he is trained to manage a wide range of solid tumors and provides comprehensive surgical care tailored to the individual needs of each patient.

Cancer treatment often requires careful coordination between surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, pathology, and other specialties. Dr. Barua follows a multidisciplinary and evidence-based approach, helping patients understand their diagnosis, available treatment options, the role of surgery, and the expected course of treatment.

His clinical approach focuses on achieving effective cancer control while preserving function and quality of life wherever possible. Treatment planning is individualized after reviewing the type and stage of cancer, imaging and biopsy findings, the patient’s overall health, and recommendations from the multidisciplinary cancer care team.
